HOW TO USE

Three steps to see motion.

  1. Choose a motion

Choose linear travel, rotation or reciprocation.

  2. Enter values

Set distance and speed. Add ramp times or another condition when needed.

  3. Play and inspect

Watch in real time, then slow down or use the time slider to inspect the movement.

Model and limitations

What if the distance is too short to reach the target speed?

The model keeps the specified acceleration magnitudes and lowers the peak speed, producing a triangular speed profile. The actual peak and duration are shown.

What do the acceleration and deceleration times mean?

These are the times from rest to target speed and back to rest, using constant acceleration. Zero seconds represents an ideal instantaneous change. S-curve profiles and servo behavior are not modeled.

How do reciprocation and rotation work?

Reciprocation ramps up and down in each direction and reverses with no dwell. Rotation stops after the specified number of revolutions. Screen refresh can make rotation appear slower or reversed; also check slow playback and the numerical values.

Will a real machine achieve these conditions?

This is a kinematic visualization. Required force or torque, load, inertia, friction, control timing and structural strength are not calculated.
