Scissor lift
At 1×, 15 cycles/min takes 4 seconds per cycle. Playback scale changes elapsed time only, not the motion relationship. Drawing scale stays fixed during playback.

A one-stage scissor mechanism raises a horizontal platform using two crossing links. Even with a smooth prescribed change in base width, vertical speed is not uniform. Change link length and the width limits to compare motion near the low and high positions.

L: 2–10,000 mm; 1 mm ≤ wmin < wmax < L. Rate: 0.1–3,000 cycles/min.Watch the blue base width w and red platform height H. Narrowing the base raises the platform.
Both diagonal links have full length L and a central pin. The bottom-left pin is fixed; the bottom-right and top-right joints slide horizontally. Width is prescribed as w = (wmax + wmin)/2 + (wmax − wmin) cos φ/2. Height and velocity follow H = √(L² − w²) and dH/dt = −w(dw/dt)/H. Actuator force, load capacity, buckling and collision are not calculated.
