FORMAT GUIDE
Check STL and OBJ geometry quickly.
View STL files for 3D printing and OBJ models locally in your browser, then save supported geometry as STL or OBJ.

STL and OBJ
STL mainly represents triangle geometry. OBJ may reference separate material and image files. Select the OBJ, MTL and image files together when they are companion files.
Open and inspect
Drop or select files, then confirm opening. Rotate, pan and zoom; use standard views and overall size to inspect the model. Changes to element colors and opacity affect the display only.
Sections and measurements
Closed geometry can have colored section faces. Open surfaces and complex cuts may not have fill. For formats with unknown units, specify the coordinate unit and display distances in mm, cm, m or inches. Selecting a unit alone does not establish the original model’s correct scale.
Save or copy an image
Save supported geometry as STL, OBJ, PLY or OFF. Outputs retain geometry only, without colors, materials, images or unit metadata. To share visible colors and orientation, use the camera button to copy the preview or save PNG.
Free edition limits
Up to 8 MiB per file, 16 MiB total across 16 companion files, and 200,000 triangles. Edge and line display modes support up to 30,000 triangles. Estimated mass with an entered density is available only when the geometry meets calculation conditions, including closed geometry.
